Vezi toate recenziile.
Food was great! Cocktails menu was on the sweeter side, which isn 't my preference, but the drinks were well-made.Service was very pleasant, and food came out quickly, but it took quite a while for us to meet our server after we were seated. It may have been that our server had too many tables, or that the restaurant was a bit understaffed.Atmosphere was alright, but kind of a miss given the price point. First, there was no background music at all, which made the space feel a bit empty. Second, and more importantly, the front door and the menu had big tacky wording that said, There is a 5% surcharge that is not a tip. That 's just called raising prices. So raise the prices. We had also been given an advertisement/coupon for our meal, but the server had never seen it and the discount was applied differently than it was written (though we got a solid discount and I didn 't feel right complaining about the discrepancy).Ultimately, the atmosphere of the experience just didn 't hit the same level as the food. I 'm happy to pay for a nice meal out. I wish they had just set the prices where they needed to be for good food and good staff compensation. Fretting over how the bill works doesn 't enhance my experience.
My sister and I spontaneously ate here. We’ve been in DC for a week, and Joselito’s was by far our favorite restaurant. Coming from a tropical island, we were surprised to find mangoes in the salad, which was absolutely delicious and refreshing. I was seated next to a glass window that separates the dining area from the pantry, and the food is completely fresh! The ambiance was elegant and cozy at the same time, and the staff were extremely nice.
Having lived on the hill for 13 years, I get asked where should we go to eat by visiting friends and colleagues Joselitos is my go to answer. IMHO and that of several neighbors it’s seriously underrated in the DC food scene. The food is very good and they have a perfect variety of choices. I miss their tasting menu that they dropped a few years ago. Tuna crudo was so good we ordered a second one. I also liked the wine list, lots of Tempranillo (which is my favorite varietal).Service is good but a bit chaotic. The restaurant has a good look to it but often feels a bit cold to me with all the marble. The tables are these tiny European style things which are cute but there isn’t a reason for it as there is plenty of space in the restaurant.
Joselito is fast earning a reputation as one of the two or three best restaurants on Capitol Hill and a top place to eat in Washington DC. Their menu, offering small, medium, and large alternative portions of most dishes, maximizes choice. The preparations are imaginative, but what impresses one most is how well they do traditional offerings like Gazpacho (the best in town! , seafood dishes, and flan. Their wine list is excellent and the sangria is actually drinkable! The service is authoritative, friendly, and efficient. Grandes elogios por Joselito!
Must-haves: deep-fried anchovies and pulpo! I love that most items on the menu can be ordered in three different portions.
