Cactus Cantina Restaurant

Food was great, place is HUGE, and sitting outside was very nice. Staff was friendly and the price was slightly on the high side, but the food was worth the money.

I had the Trio BBQ Platter (fajita-style chicken, baby back ribs shrimp) and a frozen lemonade. They were okay. One of the busboys spilled guacamole and salsa on me too. Then my waiter, who spent most of the night in hiding, asked me if a busboy saw the spill on the floor so they could clean up. He had no interest in my well-being or guacamole covered shirt. Jerk! Interesting start to the meal.

Food had so much flavor. The sauces were so much stronger than I expected and for me that was a good thing. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Love the ambience in the restaurant and it?s spacious.

Atmosphere was great. Staff was friendly efficient. Food was delicious. 2nd visit-had a few hiccups but our server Ryan was excellent, very responsive quick to resolve our issues. My shrimp enchiladas were excellent. My companion had beef tacos he enjoyed them.

For a Tex Mex cantina, it?s decent. Not all dishes are good; the tortilla soup was watery and tasted like a canned soup, and my brisket tacos were too soggy. We also had the nachos which were somewhat successful and the charred beans and rice were tasty. The real drawback for me is the fact that they don?t use fresh lime juice in their margaritas. Big turnoff. This is the kind of place that should offer real margaritas and not the fake stuff.
