I ordered the loaded potato skins, which were covered in some green hot sauce (not listed on the menu), so they were soggy. The fried pickles were amazing, and that is why they got 2 stars, but then someone ordered the cake pops, which tastes like soapy water. It was a shame because we honestly loved this place. The drag queen bingo was a hoot so go have fun with this.
The chicken tenders are GOAT-ed. Perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, piping hot and juicy on the inside. Beers were great, overall a great experience.
We absolutely loved this place. Super friendly and felt very inclusive, the staff were great.Bar snacks were really good (fried pickles and sliders), and the beers were pretty good.
Came for brunch early on a weekend and really liked it! I don't drink beer and appreciated that they had several non-beer drinks on the menu, and my husband really enjoyed their beers. I had a burger and he had the breakfast hash. Both were good, but I definitely won this round of who ordered better. Service was a little awkward at times. You go up to the bar to order, but I guess because we were sitting at the bar and they weren't busy, sometimes someone would come over to ask if we needed anything, but other times I felt like I still had to go to the other side of the bar to order. Probably just because they weren't busy, but it was a bit clunky. Either way, we'll be back. I could see spending an afternoon here with friends, or coming again for a casual brunch.
An out-of-towner that has been to Red Bear a couple times....very helpful staff...good beer selection, good pub style food. My favorite place in DC to kick back and watch a game.Good pretzels, fried pickles and chicken tenders.
