Aloha Poke Co. - Washington DC

I lived in Hawaii for 3 yrs and have been looking for comparable poke. I have yet to find it. I saw that Aloha Poke had high ratings so I decided to check them out.When I walked in, I noticed the place is very small. Only big enough for to go orders, no dining in. The women inside were super nice and took my ordered very promptly and was patient with me looking to see what I wanted to order.I ordered a small, create your own, poke bowl to go.When I got home, I noticed that they STUFFED my bowl! It was jam packed! I really appreciate that. I feel like I got my monies worth.I enjoyed my bowl overall. The avocado was browning which I hate but understand and the rice was a little...cold? Idk it clumped weird but overall the taste was pretty good considering I'm bias to the actual poke bowls in Hawaii. This could satisfy a craving tho.

Great experience! Food was great, and honestly the prices were too considering prices in DC. I got some great recommendations from the worker as well (possibly owner so I apologize if Im wrong). I highly recommend the rice seasoning topping. I’ve been to poke places further north but I’ve never seen that and it was great! I will be going back for sure!

The crunch bowl is really good! I’ve tried the volcano as well, but I personally will pick crunch over volcano.

Wonderfull staff and delicious food. I had a issue with a dish because I’m allergic probably to imitation crab meat so this was in past like a week ago and I gave feedback today …and Markayla and Tracie were so outstanding and made me even more happier when I left the store by making a new dish of what I like and I appreciate their customer service skills. Thank you both.

I ordered the kahuna size bowl, but instead when I got home and opened the bag I was suprised to see the big size bowl. Extremely disappointed that I didn't get what I paid for.
