Contribuiți la feedbackI ordered lunch for my coworkers and everyone loved their meals! We had Pork handheld, yardbird sandwich, Washington Cheesesteak, Big Nate, potato salad and slaw. Everything was delicious! Unfortunately their fryer wasn’t working, but who needs fries when you have a delicious Big Nate. You should give this place a try; it’s delicious-sincerely girl from Alabama Service: Take out

Last week, Washington County invited Southern Yanks to come in and sell soup for what was advertised as $8.00 per quart. When we arrived, I noticed that the containers were 'pint-sized. ' They (Southern Yanks ' said there was a mistake in printing and it was $8.00/pint. Hmm, ok, bc I did not bring my lunch that day and they had me over a smoker. I got 2 PINTS for $16.00. When I got home, I had one for dinner and it was more fat and gristle than meat and was very salty. When I warmed the second one, I decided to with it, and the pint (16 os) container contained 12.7 oz of soup. What a ripoff. I will NEVER give these crooks my business even if they offer a free steak with each quart/pint/CUP AND A HALF of soup. I can get local Eat 'n Park quarts for $5.00. Sorry, you lost a customer for false advertisement and substandard soup, and unwillingness to honor the advertised price, which would have brought more customers than you could handle. So disappointed and ripped off. (I was in the restaurant business and always gave value in the form of price and portion to my patrons) Maybe you don 't need repeat customers. Or maybe you need the soup lady to shop and cook for you.
We had a small birthday party. Just after closing. They made a little extra for us, and we basically cleaned out the days' worth of food that was in the kitchen. The little time that the place exists, there's a lot of history behind the place. They serve mostly the lunchtime crowd or until all the food is gone. Parking: On a busy day. I could see there being some problems parking. But not too much. It just means you might have to cross the street or walk a few more steps. Kid-friendliness: There's a lot on the menu that kids would like. The owner actually took the birthday kid and showed him a few things. They whipped up a few things and the birthday boy brought it out for everyone to try. I think the owner named the combo after him. Which was really cool. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy one level access. Wheelchairs can roll right in. And the way everything is setup. There's always room for a Wheelchair or two.
Listen to me people. as alabama native, it is always a common practice to prepare for disappointment when they are looking for bbq to the north. that was it.
