I might be a bit biased since I feel quite at home here. I've been coming to Recessions since it first opened. It's a cozy dive bar with a unique atmosphere. The bartender knows her craft well, but she's often busy, so the drink sizes may vary. The cocktails are strong and reasonably priced, and there's an opportunity for karaoke if you're in the mood. However, if you're looking for a classic experience or your favorite drink requires ten ingredients and fancy equipment, this isn’t the place for you. But if you want a fun, fast, and affordable night out, come on by—we’d be happy to have you!

What an incredible experience! My colleagues and I went out for a few drinks and karaoke, and we were thoroughly impressed by the entertainment. We enjoyed jugs of soap-free beer and cocktails, and the singer's talent truly surprised us. The evening was made even more entertaining by a remarkable Troy Bolton impersonator. I can only hope he earns a lifetime achievement award for his performance!

Karaoke at this place is really disappointing. They keep losing the song cards, and the staff isn't even aware of where they are. If you're not in their friend group, you might wait for up to two hours just to sing. They really need to implement a computer system for managing the song selections.

Worst Karaoke experience ever. What a terrible night. I honestly don 't understand it. We 're karaoke people and have seen a lot of spots in different parts of the country, and I can say this was the worst no contest. The guy who was the DJ actually ruins it. He seems to not like... people. We never got to sing anything after waiting for hours, buying lots of drinks, and watching as other folks went up to sing multiple times. Just bizarre. There 's no list, no rhyme or reason, and this guy definitely seems to have some personal issues. We finally gave up and left super disappointed. If we were just looking for a spot to have drinks, we would never have chosen this place. It 's literally in a basement. If you 're looking for a karaoke spot and actually want to... sing karaoke.... Do not go here.
