Etto - Washington

The atmosphere is nice and welcoming. The waitress we had did not seem to hear my orders, did not bring my food and was surprised when we asked about the items. It was disappointing. The food was good.

Lovely place for dining along 14th St indoor tables, at the bar, or on the patio. A nice selection of beers, crafted drinks or wine set the stage. We started with the a tasty Drone On cocktail and Hazy IPA. The heirloom tomato with burrata was excellent starter so flavorful and delicious. The arugula and prosciutto pizza was another score. For dessert, we enjoyed the chocolate custard. Jeni was an excellent host for our visit. A fun evening and definite return.

We?ve long enjoyed eating at Etto, so decided to try delivery from there when a friend stopped by for a quick dinner. For a simple pizza and VERY simple salad, the total charge (including service fees, tax, and tip) was almost $55.00. The pizza was tepid and nowhere near as good as it usually is in person. I?m well aware that inflation is causing pain in the restaurant industry, but the high cost and poor quality in this case seemed to warrant a comment.

We came to this place for dinner and there was a pungent smell of bathroom cleaning products. The whole time I felt like I was eating while someone put a toilet bowl cleaning tablet under my nose. We asked to switch tables outside but they said we would have to move to the bar and then wait more time until they could seat us outside. Well?you could either not smell terribly or just take reservations like everyone else. Cherry on top was that the pancetta on our pizza reeked
