Empress Lounge - Washington

I would not recommend afternoon tea at the Lounge. I do not plan to return again. The waiter never returned to ask if we needed anything and the tea was served lukewarm. The overall quality of the food and service did not equate to the price charged for afternnon tea. This was not what I expected from the Salamander. The hotel simply changed names without the quality of service and cache one would expect from Salamander.

Unfortunately the service at our tea was subpar. We didnt have anyone actually take our tea order until well after we finished our food and had to flag down someone to help us. In addition, there was major construction happening and there was continual drilling throughout the first half of the tea until there were enough complaints to get them to stop.

Good food, great service, very personable and nice staff. Would do again!

Food was great. Our server was amazing as well. The drinks were also really good.

Everything was nice but just nice. No complaints but nothing stood out as exceptional. It was good.
