Capitol Grounds Cafe - Washington

Wow! This was my first time eating from here, and I'm usually cautious about dining out because of my food allergies. However, I’m really impressed and extremely grateful! I called to customize my order, and it was delicious—plus, I didn't have any adverse reactions.

The spicy pork bibimbap is amazing! The new owner has done an excellent job of preserving what was already wonderful about this café while also making improvements. After chatting with the new owner, I learned that even more enhancements are on the way. It's also a fantastic spot for a quick breakfast!

I waited 20 minutes out of my 30-minute lunch break for a western omelette with bacon. When I finally reached work, I discovered they had given me a veggie omelette with bacon instead. I'm pretty sure the veggie omelette is cheaper than the western, so I ended up overpaying for something I was really unhappy with. I'm giving this a 5-star rating only because my first visit was wonderful. I attempted to call the restaurant, but the number is disconnected. I won’t be returning unless I receive some sort of compensation for this inconvenience.

Great place for a to go lunch! They have great bibimbop but also a variety of sandwiches and snacks. It’s a little hidden under scaffolding right now but it’s still very much open.
