I had the ham gruyere omelette and my man had benedikt the southwest, and the taste and the presentation were both impeccable. café deluxe had set the bar for other comparable brunchspots definitiw very high. 5 of 5 would recommend!
Easy choice for a quality and fast dinner for 1 or small group. The room feels bustling. The service was very personal and professional. The menu is pretty standard fare. My steak was properly cooked and tasty. The mussels were very tasty.
Cafe Deluxe was attached to the Hilton we stayed at while in D.C. so we ate breakfast here. It was solid the first morning but reaaally good the second morning we ate here. Service was great from all staff and the food was cooked as ordered...try the breakfast burger, it's very tasty!
My waiter isn’t paying attention to all of her customers. She’s having a long and comfortable conversation. I order a roasted chicken. The chicken was well, tasted great. The mash potatoes were great. The portion of the green beans was very small. The green beans had the best taste but were gone after a couple forks bites. Plenty of mash and chicken left.
Went on New Years Day because a lot of the other restaurants were closed. Came in through the side connected to the hotel and the sign directed us to go to the other entrance to be seated by a host but there was no one there. The reviews were iffy but we were on a crunch for time and this restaurant was close. I ordered beignets for an appetizer and they came out way after our food. My friend ordered a drink that never came out so I gave her mine and ordered another for me that took a long time to come out. When it was time to receive the check it still took way too long to get it even though the restaurant was far from crowded. Our waiter said that even though I gave my friend my drink and ordered another one I still had to pay for both drinks on my bill. Food was good. Listen to the other reviews of the subpar service, they are right.
