I thoroughly enjoyed the herb stuffed squid, poussin, and pork chop dishes, as well as the delicious bread. The portions were generous and satisfying. The restaurant offers a wide selection of wines to choose from. We chose to sit outside on the patio, despite dealing with a few bugs (common during DC summer evenings), but the staff provided bug spray upon request. I would like to dine indoors next time. Reservations are recommended as this place fills up quickly.
My experience at this restaurant was below expectations. The food was cold and lacked flavor, the presentation was unappealing, and the service was slow. I would advise against ordering the brussel sprouts, as they were the worst I've ever had and seemed to be straight from a frozen bag. The waitress was polite and knowledgeable about the menu, but the menu itself was poorly printed. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant as there are many other great options in DC.
Wonderful dining experience from start to finish. I've been several times and look forward to my visit each time. From handmade pastas to grilled herb stuffed squid to excellent grilled steaks to elegant dessert interpretations (tiramisu... mmmm) to an impressive wine list and cocktails made with artistry. A very knowledgeable sommelier (Nick) will assist if desired a proper pairing with all courses. All courses are brought to your table with elegance and beautiful plating(presentation. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere from the staff at Annabelle as well. I highly recommend you pay a visit to Annabelle for a dining experience you will remember. There is valet service as well.
An absolute hot spot, high end, and a great dining experience. This is a 4.5 star experience. Cozy and beautifully done, good ambiance. Comfortable seating in the dining area. Had a great dinner that I will want to put on replay whenever in DC. Wine menu is also great and unique. Every dish we had was well presented and delicious. The black cod was mouth and mind blowing not exaggerating. While a small portion it was so perfect; buttery flakey delicate and the sauces it sat on were magic. Whatever they were they were magic on my tongue. Only underwhelming plate was the beet salad plate; the beets were tiny and were flavorless. Confident they can do this better. Everything else was just fantastic. Menu is well designed and cost is moderate to high. Ben who served us was meticulous, pro without hovering, making the experience a relaxing one for all of us. Perfect for celebrations and special occasions. We took a Lyft so I am not sure about parking maybe some street parking around the same block. Go and have a beautiful time while giving your taste buds a feast. Definitely on my replay list!
We were disappointed with the overall quality of the food. The fish appeared to be old and overly salty. However, we enjoyed the beet and Calamari salad. The ice should have been served in a smaller bowl to display it properly, instead of just a few small pieces in a bowl. The wine was good and the service was okay.
