Contribuiți la feedbackExcellent value for money, really tasty roast with a couple of choices of meat. We had a gluten intolerant person with us and the Nelson were amazing in accommodating and made a gluten free version of everything including the Yorkshire pudding. We were very impressed and will go again.
I’ve been going to the Nelson for a few beers for a while now (they have the best pint of Stella I’ve ever had), so we decided it was about time we had a roast there. I’ve had several roast dinners around Warwick, some good and some terrible. For £10 each we got quite possibly the biggest and definitely the best roast we’ve had. Everything is homemade and fresh. They had beef or gammon, I chose the gammon which was delicious and my partner had the roast beef which she loved. The Yorkshire pudding was huge, crispy and fluffy. We were given about 15 roast potatoes between my self, my partner and my 3 year old daughter. The cauliflower cheese was my favourite and came in large dish, which would easily feed 3 people. All of the veg also came in large quantities and was as fresh as everything else. They also made some kind of cabbage with peas, never seen it before and I don’t like cabbage normally, however I loved this. The gravy is also home made and soooooo good, which again came by the bucket load and more was available if needed. I’m a bit picky when it comes to roast dinners, I always compare it to my aunties from when I was a child but this has won me over. It has that family feel to it, which we love. I’d definitely recommend trying this little hidden gem. They have a lovely little garden out the back which is what first brought this place to our attention. It’s safe to say I’ll be having plenty more beers and roast dinners here in the future.
Great environment and great staff! Will be coming here again sometime, also got a great collection of drinks
Fantastic staff and service. High quality food, the best pizza in Warwick! Good prices and cracking atmosphere
Popped into the nelson for a drink could not resist the smell from the kitchen of sizziling pizza's. I ordered a salami pepperoni 9 inch it was the best pizza base I've tasted, not too thick not to thin, perfect in every way with a great crisp texture. I paid £6.00 which is a very fair price reflecting on the quality. The tomato topping was so tasty, homemade with a generous amount of melted mozzarella cheese, topped with sizzling sliced salami pepperoni. Say's on the menu handmade and stone-baked, you can tell by look and taste. I eat my pizza with a pint at the bar, also the chef provides a takeaway service!! What more can I say TOTALLY AUTHENTIC ITALIAN PIZZA !! BELLO! BELLO!! I already been back for more !!
