Ken Chinese Take Away - Warrington

First time we used this take away and never again the food was terrible. We ordered for 4 people and almost every dish was horrible. The rice was gluey and inedible and the king po dish was tasteless as was the chilli beef which should have been spicy. We were very disappointed.

Food is fresh and delicious. The best I’ve tasted in a long time . Fast delivered but only take cash .

Visited on a Sunday evening in September, while staying in a hotel about a mile away. Drove here and chose this rather than use the hotel restaurant. Rather weird menu layout dishes are listed first by the sauce, one then choses the meat/prawn accompaniment. Totally confusing and pointless why not simply list all the chicken dishes, the beef dishes, the prawn dishes etc as in a normal Chinese restaurant or take away. You then choose Ordered a won ton soup this was OK not the best I have had by a long way, but equally I have had worse. I then ordered mixed vegetables in an oyster sauce with king prawns. Boiled or fried rice (nb not egg fried rice) was available, but the only true "fried rice dish available was Sinagpore Fried Rice no beef, chicken, shrimp or prawn etc fried rice available for some strange reason. My main dish was again OK lots of sauce not parrticularly like any oyster suace I had eaten before but not unpleasant. Lots of stir fried veg, and an unfortunately somewhat small portion of prawns. taste of them was fine, but could have done with more. Price was very good however only forks and no spoons were available curious when soups are on the menu.

Gorgeous chinese food we had fried rice noodles hot and sour chicken and salt and pepper chips and it only took 25 minutes to get to us deffo would recommend and would go there again

I recently relocated to the area and tried this takeaway for the first time - and it will definitely be the last. The salt and pepper chips were terrible, essentially just cheap oven chips with a few pieces of onion thrown in. The chicken dumplings, which cost around £5 for three small portions, hardly had any chicken and were mostly batter. Dumplings are supposed to be soft, but these were solid. The spring rolls tasted strange, and we received a large and pricey pot of curry sauce instead of the small one we ordered. This was the worst Chinese food we have ever had. We will not be ordering from here again.
