Despite the limited seating, it is still a convenient place to grab a coffee while waiting for your transfer at the station. Once you have your coffee, you can choose to wait in the station's waiting room rather than staying in the shop.
I would like to send my compliments to the management of Costa at Warrington Bank Quay railway station. The staff at Costa were prompt, helpful, and provided excellent customer service to me. Despite my disability, they were kind and attentive listeners, making me feel welcome. The drinks were also delicious. Although I did not catch their names, one young girl had red hair and the other had caramel blonde and brown hair. They are a valuable asset to your company and offered exceptional customer service, showing fairness and kindness.
This is a great spot to grab a drink if you're commuting early or late, with quick service. The seating may be a bit tight, but that's to be expected.
Bought a oat flat white which when I sat down looked like a white Americano. Took it back and queried what I had been served but was told the oat milk is watery and that's just how it looks... so I asked for a black Americano instead to replace. The girls were polite and did this alongside a refund to the correct price. I just wanted a nice tasting coffee hit to be honest (especially when paying £4.20! and not a really long milky drink, as flat whites should be a short option... however the black Americano was just as bad in flavour and super diluted. I think Costa coffee is just not so great these days, my tastes want more than just brown caffeinated hot water! Staff were pleasant and accommodating however.
This particular Costa Coffee is used as a convenience for passengers travelling to and from Warrington Central. The service was excellent as the two members of staff serving were very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. The place was also clean and the selection was akin to other Costa Coffees. Unfortunately, the floor space was a little cramped although I doubt it gets used by anyone other than train passengers. On the downside, the prices were off the charts. They were charging £4.99 for toasted sandwiches and sandwiches, which is nearly £2 more than other Costas! I appreciate I was in a train station, but this was a rip off and a clear exploitation of railway passengers! Overall, I would recommend this place as a one-off visit but the prices need to be adjusted!
