The only reason this restaurant can claim to have the best BBQ in the area is because they are the only ones cooking it. The pork was cold and bland, and I could get a better meal for half the price at Firebirds. This is one of the most overpriced places in all of Virginia, and the food is mediocre at best.

I was somewhat disappointed with the restaurant. It seems that finding good BBQ in Virginia is rare, so it's no surprise that this place was mediocre at best. It definitely didn't compare to Texas or Carolina BBQ. The gospel music playing in the background was also a bit strange.

Great brisket sandwich and burnt ends. These are excellent, since it is hard to find good authentic Texas style brisket and burnt ends. I will be coming back soon to try the other meats. I will say I did not like the green beans. Tried them and theydidn't have any flavor. I would recommend trying a different side.

Taco Tuesday. I think this is how they dispose of earlier days meat. Got the brisket, full of fat. Burnt ends, seemed dry. Key lime pie was ok, but not worth $9 a slice. My friend was equally dissatisfied. Spend your money on a steak for lunch atLonghorn... it will be less expensive and very good.

Shawn's used to be our go-to spot for good barbecue, but after my recent visit, I don't think I'll be returning. The dining room was empty and I had to knock on the kitchen door multiple times before anyone came out. Although the staff was friendly, the food was served cold initially and had to be reheated. The cleanliness of the restaurant, especially the bathroom, has declined significantly. It's disappointing to see the place deteriorate like this. Someone needs to take charge and make some improvements.
