Contribuiți la feedbackThis cozy restaurant offers delicious food with a great variety on the menu. They are willing to adjust the level of spice in your dish to suit your taste. There is also outdoor seating available. The building is only labeled as Faang on the outside, which may be confusing for some looking for the restaurant. Overall, the service, atmosphere, and food all receive a 5-star rating. Recommended dishes include the Green Curry and Chicken Pad Thai. Prices range from $10 to $20 per person.
On 10/14/23, the food at this restaurant is still incredible and the service is top-notch. We started our meal with the delicious grilled bacon-wrapped scallops, which had a delightful wood-fired flavor. I ordered the Pho, which was absolutely fantastic. The beef was tender and not at all tough like in other places, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The addition of fresh lime, bean sprouts, jalapeno, and basil provided just the right amount of flavor. My wife ordered the Rama Chicken, which she really enjoyed. She mentioned that it had the perfect level of spice and wasn't overly hot for her taste. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Overall, we would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5.
This restaurant serves authentic Thai cuisine. The Chili Basil Chicken is a perfect blend of sweet and spicy flavors, and is absolutely delicious. You can request it to be mild if you prefer less spice. The Pork with Rice Noodle is another standout dish. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is great for a dinner meal. Prices range from $20 to $30 per person. Overall, I highly recommend trying the Basil Chicken and Chicken Pad Thai.
I do thai every week, in a lot of areas. This spot has been consistently good for years, and so far it 's still the best place west of Fairfax. Faang is a proper sitdown place with plenty of room and nice subdued decor, where most thai places are carryout focused and seem like they 're trying for 'cute ' more than 'classy '. The food 's great, though lately I 've experienced a few small issues. But generally, there 's like a half dozen things you can order that are really good. The Drunken Noodle is especially good, maybe the best outside of DC. So is the Chili Basil Duck... not excessively fatty like a lot of places, with delicate crisped basil leaves and a strong spicy sauce. Also try Cashew Chicken, the Fresh Rolls, and Kapow. For some reason, the fried rice (a safe bet in most places) is the only thing I don 't like. The consistency is a little odd, it 's a bit hard and seems caramelized somehow. I like that it 's relatively quiet, not too bright, and the temperature and volume are kept under control. It feels pretty spacious and well-separated from the bar, if you 're trying to watch a game. Service is also reliable, a couple of servers have been there for years and get your order in and out as efficiently as possible. Everyone is nice. I see some reviews mention pricing and portions, but basically everyone 's prices are going up this year, and for me the portions are good. I appreciate a place that goes for quality over quantity.
