Contribuiți la feedbackDelicious Mothers day lunch, too much wine in the Lasagne but everything else was cleared; especially the arancini starter, prawn cocktail, the seabass and cod and chips. Lauren was an excellent server and the restaurant had a lovely inviting feel. All the desserts were amazing, especially this chocolate garden with edible flowerpot
I've visited the Harrow Inn on a number of occasions, but this is the first time I've thought that it is in need of a make-over. The outside is starting to look grubby with peeling paint and plaster, and the inside could do with a good clean (I've never seen so many cobwebs this side of Halloween (March 2023 . The food was tasty, however, two of the meals (both Sunday roast we're served lukewarm. It's a pity because I like going to this establishment, however, it needs to rediscover it's sparkle.
1st time there but my friend has been a few times. We got the Xmas feast 3 courses and weren't disappointed though parsnips could be cooked a little longer . The Turkey which I don't usually have was so moist it melted in your mouth. Try the Scallops and Prawn the jus was so tasty especially when I pinched 1 of my friend's finger toast . The Xmas pudding and sauce was perfect to finish off and they gave enough time to let you digest each course. Teresa our server was so friendly and funny. It made my experience even better. I bought 2 extra Turkey dinners to take away and the recipients said they really liked them. So well done to the Chef and team. I live too far away now.but next time I'm up visiting my friend we'll be back. Sorry no photo of the scallops and prawns or mushrooms.
Prawn Scallop only one scallop, sliced up. Prawns were good. Still a little sand present so the scallops must have been fresh! Slow roasted tomato arancini was tasty and perfect texture. No rdetectable tomato though! Pork belly. Nice flavour. Just a tad chewy. Only 1 slice of apple, veg were delicious however! Roasties were a little greasy not aut all crispy with a fluffy centre. Meat trio. Beef tough over done. Pork turkey excellent. Cauliflower Cheese. Nicely al dente but needed a stronger Cheddar. Service was a bit slow but very friendly and they were extremely busy noisy.
We visited The Harrow with friends and our 14month old babies. The kids had a kids meal which was a big portion. We had roasts and the pie and the food was really good! Natasha our server was brilliant, super helpful and thought about the little things, it made our lunch much easier, especially with the babies! It was our first visit and we will definitely come again!
