Janine's Frostee - Ware

We absolutely love Janine's! It's definitely the best spot in the area for seafood and ice cream! We highly recommend it and won't go anywhere else—even though we pass two other seafood restaurants on our way to Janine's!

It's been a few years since our last visit, and it is just as excellent as I remember. Compared to other fried seafood spots, the portion sizes are fair for the price, and the quality is definitely there. The ice cream is fantastic, and the overall menu has something for everyone. Our only disappointment was the clam fritters, which were a bit too doughy and lacked enough clams.

Clam fritters are my absolute favorite. I always order them whenever I visit the ocean, and I have to say, the ones I had at Janine's today were by far the best I've ever tasted. Their seafood is truly the finest in New England, and perhaps even in the world!

Love going to Janine’s when they open for the season! The food is good, the ice cream is great, and I love that they do live music throughout the season! We go multiple times during the spring and summer, and try to do opening day as a family tradition. The staff has always been helpful and courteous.

Extremely friendly staff, filling and tasty meals, and very clean environment (Heck, the floors in the bathroom were so shiny I could see my reflection! After an afternoon of Antiquing, I drove past this place and by the looks of it, I was sold, so, I turned the car around and grabbed some grub! I got the Pick Me Up Burger with curly fries and a shake, and man, that pepper jack cheese and fried pickles on the burger are awesome! I'll be back when the weather gets warmer for sure! I'd like to check out some live music there too! I was not expecting this type of quality and service from a burger and ice cream spot, if I lived closer I'd probably stop there more often, but if you're driving on RT. 9 heading through Ware, grab a bite there!
