Izumi - Wappingers Falls

The food wasn't great. I was definitely in better Japanese steak houses. I wouldn't go back.

Let me just start this review by saying that the 3 star review has nothing to do with the food. If I had ordered for the trip, I would have given Izumi 5 stars. We ordered steak and shrimp, and children steak meals, were asked if we wanted pasta with our order and we all said yes. The cook came and cooked our meal, the cook put on a good show and the food was great. Steaks and shrimps were soft and perfectly cooked, the rice was tasteful, the vegetables were good as the noodles. After the meal we get the bill and found out, each of us who got noodles were charged 5 dollars per meal for noodles. Not much, but we were not told at all. I then give; who I think was the owner, my credit card to pay for the meal and she took it on herself to add a $39.99 tip. The tip was a legitimate amount for the bill, but I did not appreciate it adding a tip to my bill without saying anything. If Gratity is included with the bill, this is completely different, but it only decided to tap this amount and add it to my card. I'm not going back and that's a real shame because the food, as I said, was great.

Love this place! This restaurant has been following for over a decade because it is also great people!

What a disappointment! Half of the things we have ordered have not come, but they have accused us for which they have finally taken off. Parts were very tiny for the price. They kept us waiting long to serve and even take our order. It was great hibathci, but it was really a disappointment. The cook was beautiful

I've been a regular at izumi for sometime now, they always take such good care of my party and I no matter the time we arrive, I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here! The chef is always fun and cheerful and the drinks pack a punch!
