The Swan - Wantage

One of the oldest pubs in Wantage, this pub has been through a lot of changes. There are currently three different bar spaces in the building the front has a old world traditional feel to it, out back you will find rock bands and djs playing into the early hours, there is also and outside garden area that gets really busy in the Summer. Upstairs is the new cocktail bar which is a real surprise doesn't really fit in with the rest of the pub. You will find a much younger crowd here who are happy to pay for the overpriced but delicious cocktails.

My Regular watering hole great pub with happy hour from 4-8 mon till fri all pints £2 and from 2 till 8 on a saturday. Has a good range of real ales that are well kept. Good entertainment in the form of DJ's or bands every weekend if your still awake after happy hour.

The swan is a place to go if you want to carry on drinking when all the other pubs have closed. It is not the best place to go in Wantage. There is always live bands playing and they are currently renovating the upstairs Watch this space.

The Swan is a great pub with a large selection of cocktails, real ales and lagers. I especially enjoy visiting the place for the range of bands that play here. The building is fairly large with three separate bars, the front tends to be the quieter area on a weekend, with a juke box, the back is where bands play and upstairs has a DJ at the weekends so you can move around throughout the course of the night depending on what mood you're in. Go here if you like a varied mix of people young and old to talk to, a range of music and fairly priced drinks.
