We asked if it was possible to eat, but were told that they had closed the restaurant and the kitchen was already cleaned. We planned to eat there after a whole day of driving. If you expect to get a meal during business hours visit another restaurant. Unfriendly and not according to information posted on the website.
We were staying at the hotel, and decided to eat here one night rather than venture elsewhere. The food was of reasonable quality, and portion size very generous. The home made spätzle was particularly good. Service civil, but not overly friendly. Okay place for a meal, but not outstanding.
We had a evening meal here as a group of 6 people. The service was a little slow, but not bad. Food was really good with an excellent steak in green pepper sauce. Some nice beers on offer as well. It was pleasant eating out under the large horse chestnut tree.
Started of with a horrible welcome after a whole day of driving. We asked for a drink on the hotel terrace, but the lady told me it was closed for another minutes. No drinks for arriving guests. We asked to eat something and where...forwarded to the kebab store on the corner of the street. The second day we retried after the terrace was opened. We got replaced from the table outside TWICE, because of reservations they apparently forgot. They told us to get inside to finish the drink and they imposed their menu upon us to have dinner, ‘because the neighborhood restaurants where terrible’. Regarding the Restaurant atmosphere, friendliness and hospitality of the staff is not compatible with a typical ‘weinstube’, just as the hotel. A shame and absolutely not recommended!
Service was good and friendly ate there two nights as we were staying there and enjoyed both our meals.
