Lauberhorn - Wangen An Der Aare

A good variety during our week's stay, each dish well presented and flavoursome. Attentive staff with good English spoken. We looked forward to each meal.

We stayed and dined here for a week, but after 2 nights at the restaurant we simply had to go elsewhere, even though our kids ate free. It was that bad. It is so disappointing, as the hotel is nice and the setting is lovely, with picturesque views over the mountains, and right near the train station. The food was almost inedible. The kids even refused to eat most of the desert! I wish the hotel would improve the food, as this is a serious missed opportunity for them, it seems, but maybe it is different in the winter when the town is more crowded? Travelers note that the breakfasts were fine.

We had lunch twice at this restaurant within the Hotel Victoria. The food was good, well presented and the staff attentive. The service was a little slow, but the restaurant was busy on both occasions for good reason.

Wir waren am 25.Dezember 2013 zu fünft im Restaurant um eine Kleinigkeit zu Essen. Das Trinken wurde innert kurzer Zeit serviert, die Suppe usw. dann später durch ein nur englisch sprechendes Mädchen bedient. Doch als wir eine Nachbestellung machten bediente uns das gleiche Mädchen das kein einziges Wort Deutsch sprach und anstatt Hilfe zu holen und dies weiter zu melden, einfach etwas anderes arbeitete. So warteten wir fast eine halbe Stunde bis wir endlich von jemandem bedient wurden. ja wo sind wir denn müssen wir als Schweizer im eigenen Heimatland uns so abfertigen lassen. Hat es ein renommiertes Restaurant nicht mehr nötig auf die einheimischen Gäste einzugehen. Es liegt doch an der Führung, dem Personal beizubringen, dass der Gast König IST und man sich dementsprechend auch verhält. Wir werden, obwohl wir oft im Jähr in Wengen sind, kaum mehr ins Lauberhorn gehen um uns zu ärgern.

Die gesamte Küche und Präsentation waren ausgezeichnet. Die Preise waren etwas hoch.
