Chicha was some of the best I've had in Cusco...you could taste much more of the elements of the drink. Chicken a la Brass with a perfect marinade -- I've had really good in my home country and this edged it out -- and crispy-skinned, hot Papas Peruanas...fantastic. Highly recommend the short trip from the overpriced city center, or WALK there if you have to. It's worth it.
Really good lunch spot, their combo meals were very reasonable and the waitress who served us spoke excellent English and was very friendly.
If you're running out of money and need a cheap restaurant with good food, that's the place. They have pizzas, burgers, meats and salads. There are vegeterian options too.But don't go there in a hurry, because the service is slow. I ordered a salad and a hamburger, but only had the salade because the burger took more than 40 min to be done and I was short in time.
Good food albeit slow service. Waiter apologized and made up for lapse with salads for everyone and an appetizer. Because we were not in a hurry, it was a good experience.
There a huge number of Peruvian Restaurants but they don't serve what Peruvians eat on a regular basis, and there are a large number of Peruvian Restaurants where the locals eat but Tourists might have reason to be a little leery. La Estacion is the perfect middle ground:-Great Peruvian roasted Chicken and other food-Cheap-where the locals eat-Clean-good drink sections
