Our first day in Peru, we had a welcome dinner here as part of our tour package. Great old building. Our server was Reiner who was great. Very attentive to everything we asked (and not asked). The soup was fantastic! The variety of breads was great. We had guinea pigs and ducks. The desserts were worthy. Would highly recommend.
In general, we loved the restaurants we visited in Peru. The country has a kitchen like no other, and is finally a reputation as a culinary destination. But this restaurant was particularly fabulous. We had our first meal in Cusco here and hope to return next time in Peru. Everything about it was perfect – ingredients, preparation, service and setting.
Dinner was excellent. The service was terrific, although it was really just one guy. There are only about four tables in the whole place. I had chicken breast wrapped in bacon, and the chicken itself wrapped some vegetables like asparagus. Mashed potatoes (excellent). And crème brûlée for dessert, which wasn’t quite French, but was great nonetheless. Breakfast the next morning was almost as good (and included in the room price). Good croissants and bread, and decent French toast – not the very best, but still quite good. I expect you have to stay in the hotel to eat in the restaurant. We were told at check-in that you had to either be a guest or a friend of a guest to be allowed entrance to the eleven room hotel. But the restaurant is well worth it if you qualify. The food was easily a match for Cicciolina, a well-regarded Cusco restaurant.
El desayuno es increíble y el lugar muy bonito. El servicio es impecable, amabilidad y profesionalismo. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.
