Contribuiți la feedbackI went to an event there and had a great time with my girlfriends. The drinks were priced right and plentiful. The owners are wonderful, caring and hard working. The castle is unique and very antique as it dates back many centuries. I'm sorry I waited so long to see it. I will go back for their other events as they seem intriguing and cool. I'm really not sure HOW this place is even still in operation. Forty five dollars worth of total disappointment. I thought surely this is a joke. We are at the wrong venue compared to the reviews and restaurant's website. Sadly it was the same place. Of course after an hour and fifteen minute drive, we needed the restroom. We were greeted with 8.5x11 landscape signs taped on the walls pointing the way to the unisex restroom on the first floor. When we opened the door the it was a single person accomidations that smelled very badly of urine. The toilet paper roll was empty but luckly there was a WET roll on the shelf behind the toilet....thank god women come prepared ...Klenex to the rescue. Now let's talk about the main area. Very large tables and old scattered sofas. Massive chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. A card table at the front door with a young lady checking our reservations on a piece of paper. And asked us to write her name on a spiral bound notebook telling us it was a waiver. When I asked what we were signing a waiver for she picked up another piece of paper handed it to me. That had been scribbled all over marking out a few things here and there but the gist was basically saying that we were they were not liable... for what I wasn't sure. We made our way to meet our friend at a table. She said are you getting food? We said ummmm not sure. At this point I've been looking around at the while place. I've noticed how dirty it is. Water damaged ceilings that have clearly been actively leaking due to the recent rainy weather. The ceilings were literally rotting away with water stains on the walls. Dust on everything above. Dirty floors. Bags and boxes of beer bottles stacked all over one side of the room. Then i see the food area and thought to myself that looks as it is violating some Serve-safe practices. Wandered up to take a look at what was supposed to be a good dinner and 4.5/5 reviews. Wow...really? How?. The food was what looked like rewarmed day old leftovers served in the back corner of this massive room on a makeshift serving table. Mashed potatoes...pretty standard, corn meh, dried out green beans that were basically dehydrating because they were in the warming tray so long, red cabbage...or at least I think that's what it was, dried out pita bread cut in quarters shoved in a tray, mangled roast beef, gravy that was dried to the sides of a kitchen pot stacked on something in the middle of the serving area and last but not least pulled anemic pork. The salad bar. Well it had pickles, water drenced tomatoes... why I'm not sure, no lettuce and to be honest I just walked away at that point...nothing to eat. Let's try for the desert which was supposed to be baklava. Look around the area to see where the heck the drinks and the desserts were supposed to be and it's on the other end of the area in the far left corner. So I make my way over there to maybe get a cup of coffee or a cup of tea and some baklava. Because it was so late I didn't want to have coffee so I opted for tea. The sugar was wet. Hot water and baklava it is. Head back to the table. Take a bite of the baklava and promptly spit it out into a napkin. My goodness. What a massive disappointment this while thing has been. Now let's talk about that waiver. They take us upstairs as a group for the paranormal events. Remember the water stains I was talking about well there was electrical cords sitting in water puddles. They tell us to stay to the right of the stairs and of course we are all walking up wondering why and pull out our cellphone lights. Why because there's a rotted areas on the stairs where the water has been leaking for so long that there is massive water damage. And don't you know, somebody stepped in it and put their foot through the floor. This was enough for me but of course we are in the middle of the pack climbing up the stairs so we continue. Only to be greeted by extension cords hanging across the floor entrance at the top step which we have to step over very carefully lest we trip. AT MY LIMIT! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
