Subway - Walsall

THEY NEED HAIRNETS!!! Came in here and there was a couple of very polite girls, but they had waist length ponytails with no hair nets. One of the girls was quite short so as she lent over to put the salad on my sandwich her full ponytail flopped on to my sandwich. she didn’t notice and I was too polite to say something. They either need to wear hairnets or put their hair in a bun so it doesn’t literally flop on to the food. Just a bit grim. Has put me off. I have never had a good experience at this restaurant. Every time I ask for my food to be toasted, it comes out freezing cold as if it just came out of the fridge. On top of that, my order is always missing items. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as a 1 out of 5. Meal type: Lunch.

We regret continuing to patronize this terrible restaurant. They have never been able to fulfill our orders correctly, so we will now be driving an extra 5 minutes to the Aldridge Subway, where they actually know how to make a sandwich. The last two times we visited, they gave us ham instead of turkey, which we do not eat. Despite our clear dietary restrictions, they did not take proper precautions to prevent cross-contamination with gluten. When we asked them to change their gloves, they seemed annoyed and had to throw away the bread. The staff made us feel very uncomfortable and were unsympathetic to our concerns. We would not recommend this subway. It would be better to spend our money at Tesco and make our own sandwich. It should not be so difficult to make a simple sub.
