Live Wire band very good. The Anchor was rammed last night. Good night all round

Disgusting. Toilet seat hanging off in mens. Sick on floor, there was no one else in the pub and this was 2pm. Glasses so dirty we left our drinks. Tables, furniture and floor so old and dirty the cleaner must think they can't be bothered to clean them....Grotty. from thr outside it looks closed, even a takeaway delivery driver said it looked closed when he gave the barman his dinner. It must be bad when the bar staff prefer takeaways rather than cooking in the pub kitchen. I complained to Marstons as I am sure no one from head office has visited this pub for years. I'm not from the area but if this pub was near my house it would have been closed and renovated years ago

Went for a beer at midday on a saturday.... and its still locked up. Can the landlord not be bothered to get up. No wonder its closing down.

Friendly landlord and barstaff , plenty of entertainment too
