Peony Garden - Walnut Creek

Delicious food! The whole dining experience is amazing. We love dining here!

This was our first visit and we weren't sure where we'd park in downtown W.C. We were happy to see a convenient parking lot with plenty of spaces adjacent to the restaurant building. It was a short walk to the restaurant entrance. We were immediately greeted by staff upon entry and quickly taken to a table. No waiting was necessary and we didn't take long to have our order taken. We will definitely return to try more of their dishes and share the experience with others. Parking: It's unclear if the parking lot is shared with any other business adjacent to it.

The food was amazing. We ordered the shrimp dimsum, string bean and asparagus in black sauce, and the chicken in ginger sauce. The dimsum fell apart, but other than that, the food was great. For dessert, we ordered the soft black sesame filled balls. They came out warm and covered with coconut shavings and they were absolutely delicious.I would highly recommend Peony Garden and am planning on coming back. Parking: You might have to park up the street and walk. Street parking was limited in front of the restaurant.

I was at Kaiser Permanente across the street for the last 7 hours due to a person having emergency surgery. Someone at the hospital said right across the street is a Chinese restaurant, it might be good. I walked from the hospital to the restaurant and stood in the lobby to place an order to take back to the hospital. I didn't want to be away from the hospital for too long. Stood in the lobby and a lady just kept looking at me, but no one approached or gave me a menu or asked if I wanted anything so I just gave up and walked back to the hospital. So, unless you like being ignored in a not busy place don't bother going here from Kaiser hospital. The fact I walked from the hospital to there made it even more irritating. Wonderful serving of rudeness though.

The food is authentic Chinese food, and the service is great.
