Shiki Hibachi Sushi - Walla Walla

I stopped in Walla Walla for dinner and ordered the New Yorker steak. It was decent, and the accompanying vegetables and fried rice were quite good. The service was attentive, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, I’d give it a solid 4 stars.

The atmosphere is lovely, the food is exceptional, and the service is attentive. We tried the spicy edamame for the first time, and it really elevates the dish. The miso soup is the best we've ever tasted, and the pho broth was outstanding as well. Just a heads up, they do charge $1.00 for chili oil, which took us by surprise.

Regarding kid-friendliness: If kids aren't fans of sushi, they can enjoy tempura chicken, katsu rice, and plenty of other choices!

Shiki used to be one of my favorite restaurants in town. I still enjoy their food but I have found the price to food quality has gone down compared to the prices the last few times I went.

Out of the three Japanese places in Walla Walla, this one has the most diverse menu. That said they are a small franchise around the area.We stopped in for pho (yes they have pho and it’s not bad at all but decided to get their sushi and sashimi platter for two.Pho: pretty good, though if you’re used to pho from LA or something, it’ll hold you over but won’t set records. LolSushi/shashimi: presentation was good. Chefs speak Mandarin, so if you do, that’s a plus. Haha salmon and yellowtail were good. They also have Escolar aka Superwhite or white tuna. I found it a little frozen/stuff and not as wonderful and buttery as it can be. Still good none the less.Pro tip: order the spicy edamame and KEEP THE SAUCE.
