3 Amigos Mexican Grill - Walhalla

I stop there on the way home from the river/camping in Mountain Rest. Very friendly staff. First time I'd ever had a coconut margarita was from there, and it was awesome. Love it!

The bartender did not speak any English and couldn't understand my order. I asked for a shrimp cocktail and a margarita, but all she offered were refried beans or rice. She never considered finding a manager or someone who could assist her. When I requested chips and salsa, she just smiled and walked away. Eventually, I had to get up, grab a menu from another table, and point to what I wanted. Despite asking three times, I never received the chips and salsa. If she doesn't understand English, she should not be working behind the bar; perhaps she would be better suited in the kitchen until she learns at least the basics of the menu. I don’t blame her for the poor service; I blame the management for the inadequate training she clearly received.

I just left the restaurant after being seated and ignored for 10 minutes. We didn’t receive any chips or drinks, and despite making eye contact with several staff members, no one acknowledged us. When we decided to leave, they didn’t even say anything, almost as if they didn't care. That's fine—we have plenty of other Mexican restaurants to choose from in the area.

Food was disappointing. Im not even the type of person that can handle hot or spicy foods, and even I thought the food needed ALOT more seasoning. There are much better options for Mexican food in oconee.

Generous portions at an average price of around $16 per person, and I really don’t understand the complaints about the service—Maddy was fantastic! We even asked for her name because we were hesitant to come after reading some negative reviews about customer service. But now, I can confidently say we’ll definitely be back! As for kid-friendliness, I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my kids and family here. In fact, my eight-year-old is sitting right next to me at the moment!
