Contribuiți la feedbackI visited this restaurant just before Christmas for breakfast, and sometimes going for the cheapest option isn't worth it. The food was cheap, but it was inedible and made with low-quality ingredients. We ended up leaving most of our plates uneaten and going somewhere else. It's a shame that this place has such poor food quality.
This small, old-fashioned café is located conveniently near the railway station and has nets at the windows. During an early Saturday morning visit, a celebrity was spotted inside. The café has an eclectic array of furniture and basic décor, but is a warm and friendly place with plenty of regulars and lively conversation. The small breakfast (£2.95) includes coffee with hot milk, but the barista machine lacked flavor. The baked beans, egg, bacon, tomato, sausage, and toast were all well-cooked, but the portions were a bit small. Overall, the experience was not bad but somewhat disappointing due to the lack of flavor. The café could benefit from sourcing better quality ingredients, such as the award-winning sausages and excellent bacon available at the butcher's shop next door. The café is reasonably clean and tidy, with newspapers available to borrow. For an alternative nearby, customers can visit Chapter Seven Cafe or get a takeaway sandwich from Hofmann's next door.
