Create Cafe Wakefield

My daughter called to address her overdue council tax bill. She was informed that rent and council tax are considered essential expenses. However, trying to manage two weeks' pay to cover eight weeks' worth of bills while just starting a job is simply impossible. She is dealing with mental health challenges and thought she was making progress by reaching out for help. Unfortunately, the outcome of the conversation was that she was advised to prioritize her hearing, food, and car insurance to get to her new job over her council tax bill. It’s frustrating that they don’t seem to understand the reality of the cost of living crisis. Do the advisors really have no awareness of these struggles?

Fantastic cafe called Create and the staff are lovely and helpful. The library and museum are well worth visit too!

I really wish the design allowed for opening windows for fresh air! Much too stuff when you're there all day.

While visiting the library, I also explored the museum located there. The building is relatively new and beautifully maintained, with very friendly staff.

I expected more variety since all the shops are quite similar.
