We decided to move. I ordered the fish and chips, while my companion had the grouper sandwich special. The grouper was quite good, but the fish and chips were disappointing—greasy batter and bland fish. Overall, the experience was mediocre in every way. I would recommend eating somewhere else.
The food was decent, but nothing really stood out. The Reuben sandwich had plenty of meat, but it was missing the tangy flavor and dressing, and my sweet potatoes weren't fully cooked. My partner ordered the fish and chips with cod and said it was just okay. However, our server, a friendly young person from the local high school, was definitely the highlight of our dining experience!
The highlights of the place include numerous gaming machines, a spacious bar area, and a dining area that's quite welcoming! Fun fact: my friend won $400 on the machines here! I ended up visiting with a friend who enjoys playing the machines at Pat's. We sat on the bar side, which feels distinct from the restaurant section. Since I was feeling hungry, I decided to order some food. I initially ordered pizza bites, but about 10 minutes later, the bartender informed me that there was an issue with that order, so I couldn't get the pizza bites. Instead, I ordered the avocado tuna sashimi tower, and it was delicious!
To be honest, it was one of the best philly subs I've ever had my whole life and they really use paprika wobbles and provolone cheese. it came out, piping hot and I love the fact that they have several offers for fried kartoffels including active bags that I absolutely love. I was there for lunch and they were clearly short-circuited so that my time was extended for the sitting and waiting for it and I did not blame the personal himself and I understand the dynamics of him, but this is the reason for three stars on the service.
This was our second and last time eating here. The first time I got a Rueben and it was delicious but oily- so this time I asked for it to be lightly buttered. I must’ve insulted the chef- the bread was barely toasted and with the sauce (too watery) became complete mush- I had to use fork and knife to eat it! My onion rings were mediocre lukewarm. My husband got fish and chips- the fish was good but lacked seasoning, the tartar sauce was inedible, just mayonnaise with relish, the coleslaw looked like potato/egg salad and way too sweet and inedible. The best thing we ate was the steak fries- perfectly cooked and delicious. My daughters kids meal was chicken tenders- it’s for an adult, the chicken was the size of the fish- not for kids chicken tenders. We paid $50 for a severely disappointing late lunch/early dinner. Even if they asked how was the food- I didn’t feel comfortable complaining because I think the chef would retaliate. I think the only people who eat here are extremely loyal customers/regulars and not willing to speak up about the bad food and have settled. We usually go to Hibernian which has really good food but it’s further away- we learned out lesson this time and not taking chances again.
