I pushed the wrong star... it should have been 5 stars. The cook had been trained by Koch Charley so that the food is great... The chefs have high standards and it is obvious in their kitchen. The staff that deals with customers and kitchen is very friendly, personal and knowledgeable in what they serve...charleys thai kitchen has 2 locations..waikaloa and waimea.hope I have missed nothing in general

We recently stopped on the way (the long way from Kona) to Hilo. I am a great lover of the yellow curry-- something I try The Thai restaurant I ordered. The spices were right - not too easy and not too mild. (I asked for medium spices and that's what I got). I found the taste to be very good - not my favorite in the world, but certainly some of the best on the island. My wife had eaten rice. She loved it and was ready to leave Hilo late, so she could stop returning to Kona. The service was attentive and the decor is beautiful for the location. I would recommend Charley's Thai Cuisine in Waimea for anyone looking for a nice meal.

My wife and I often eat here. We were in both places several times. Good food, price and service. I would recommend Charlie's to anyone looking for Thai food

Best curry fried rice I've had. I would go back. If you order the plates with bland spice, that's what you get. I ordered medium spice and it was excellent.
