The entrance fee for an adult is $50 but we had bought our tickets on the trolley for $25 each cash only). It’s a small park but it focuses on rehabilitation, conservation and sanctuary. They have dolphins, seals, birds, fish etc. They have animal shows and if you’re not afraid of birds landing on you, you can go into the bird area and feed them. For additional price you can swim with the dolphins but we didn’t do this. It does get hot as there’s not much shade but they did have misters going. We really enjoyed going into the bird area and letting them eat from our hands. You can not walk to the park, so you need to either drive, take a trolley make sure you catch the last one), Lyft or a bus.
We only had less than 1.5 hrs. here before it closed for the day and we still managed to see all the exhibits with enough time to catch the bus back to Waikiki. Peak crowd was gone for the day then so there was no waiting or congestion. The highlight was the aviary where we were able to feed the birds from our hands! Hubby, my toddler and I all got to experience this wonder. Also loved seeing the sea turtles and dolphins up close.
Highly recommend the encounter packages they have available. Military gets a discount through ITT (MWR) and general admission is included. Most likely a once in a lifetime opportunity for most. The rest of the park is a bit small, with a few animals available for viewing, but they also do shows. Feeding the birds is free and there is no time limit. The staff is very friendly and teach conservation and respect for the animals.I do recommend eating a big meal before going as the food in the park is priced a bit higher and there is no outside food allowed for the safety of the animals. I would bring refillable water bottles for everyone so you can refill at the water fountain as well.
The park was small and a bit disappointing compared to other similar parks and aquariums we’ve been to. My toddler was excited to see the baby shark feeding however we weren’t able to see much at all. The restaurant inside also needs an upgrade with a better (and legible) menu.We booked the silver package which came with the Luau and this was the highlight of the whole experience. The dancers and performers were impeccable. The buffet dinner was delicious. Highly recommended the Luau!
This is a great smaller park in a beautiful location perfect if you have younger children. The park is very manageable in size with programs spaced out so catch a little of everything. My toddler also loved the playground and that she got to feed the fish some lettuce. We paid to do the dolphin feeding with our 2 year old and dolphin swim with our 8 year old. The feeding and swims here are done in larger groups than I anticipated. If you love to take photos videos like me, it's a bit of a bummer because you can't really take photos or videos of your own, only the ones you purchase through their photographer. and unfortunately the photo print quality of those isn't great.IMO, We've done the feeding at a Sea World and that personally was a better experience for us. We were allowed to take all the photo and videos we wanted.Side note: the sea lion area is currently under construction.
