Fernandos - Wailuku

I really wanted to like this place but the food was really dull. My pinto beans were dry and my husbands ceviche tasted sweet. Odd. The food was way overpriced for what we got. The only good thing here was the young lady who helped us.

To eat here first time and I wasn't disappointed. it didn't even feel like eating mexican, but I'm glad. we ordered the carne asada, bark enchilada and chicken quesedilla. everything tasted amazing. in any case they recommend this place.

They offer the best Mexican food on the island. so good and full. people also very nice. the kerl even offered when I wanted water after I already ordered and paid.

The restaurant offers large steak tacos, but lacks variety in other menu options. Prices have increased. My husband ordered a steak burrito, which cost $5 extra for the steak. The burrito was $17 and came without any garnishes. They also charge a $3 "to-go" fee (which I only found out about at checkout). Despite these drawbacks, the staff were very friendly.

The food at this restaurant is mediocre, and the prices are too high. It's difficult to find good Mexican food on Maui, and even though this restaurant has been around for a long time, their pricing has made them uncompetitive in the market.
