Matteo's Osteria - Wailea

My partner and I went to this restaurant for dinner on a weekday. We were highly disappointed with the quality of the food considering the price we paid. It seemed like they were understaffed. I ordered the pasta special, which was fettuccine with lamb and sundried tomatoes ragu. The pasta itself was decent, but the ragu was unappetizing. The lamb was in large chunks and the ragu was too watery. My partner ordered the chef's special, pan-seared halibut with spaghetti. Unfortunately, the dish was bland and the presentation made it feel like we were dining at a local fast food restaurant.

This restaurant on South Maui offers some of the best dishes. The dining experience is excellent with top-notch service, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. Rated 5 out of 5 for both food and service.

Chef Matteo is a culinary mastermind. His dishes bring the flavors of his home country to Maui, creating a truly unique dining experience. The staff is exceptional, with servers who are well-informed and eager to help with menu selections. The wine list is also impressive. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. I recommend dining in for dinner.

Had a lovely dinner at the bar. Our bartender was attentive, casual, and did a great job serving us and making the restaurant their drinks. I loved the ahi tuna dish and the meatballs. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
