The staff at the bar were friendly and they offer a good selection of beers. However, as an outsider, I did feel a bit out of place and like a curiosity. This is common in country pubs, though. I stopped by twice in the afternoon and early evening, but I didn't feel comfortable enough to dine there.
I had a pleasant dining experience at this restaurant. The menu was typical for a pub, with a salad and vegetable bar, and the potato bake was especially delicious. The staff and locals were friendly. I would definitely return if I am in the area again.
I have been frequenting this restaurant a lot lately while working in Waikerie. It has been a fantastic spot to dine and relax with a drink. The servers have been excellent and the food is delicious, especially the salad bar. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is welcoming and overall it is a great place to visit.
Meeting a friend and enjoying a couple of drinks and enjoyed a light meal played the pokies while waiting for a friend staff were great
We went as a group for tea on schnitzel night. One family at our table got their meal then there was enough time for them to finish and have there plates taken before my family got their meal and the same then happened to the...third family who by then had waited over an hour. When the young waitress did serve the meals she basically threw them at us. The salad bar was dirty and disgusting and the salad and veg very average. The food we were served tasted like it had been microwaved or had come from other people's left overs, disgusting, feel sick thinking about it. I guess you get what you pay for but if that's the case then the schnitzel is way overpriced!
