Riverview Cafe - WAIKERIE

My family and I visited this restaurant for the first time in October after hearing rave reviews from our friends.

This restaurant is a place where families make memories. It's our first time here, but we've met many customers who have been coming here for years.

We had a sit down meal, food was fresh and very tasty. We will certainly be returning for a meal again.

I always enjoy lunch at V restaurant. The view and service are fantastic. There are so many options to choose from, including fresh cakes. The Vitoria coffee pairs perfectly with lunch. This time, I had the hamburger with all the toppings and it tasted delicious. The presentation was also impressive.

We have often driven past but today was the day to call in. Fantastic view with a choice to dine in cool comfort or enjoy the deck. (There is also a grassed playground area for kids.) What won my heart was the immediate friendly greeting and the offer of a menu as we peered at the wall menu. The food (burger for him and yiros for me) was fine and nicely served. Another winning point was a pleasant sign in the toilets. Rather than being grumpy about using the facilities if you weren't a customer, it recognised the need and gently invited people to buy a coffee or snack and enjoy the view. Definitely won't be driving past in future. I can see it becoming a mandatory stop.
