Contribuiți la feedbackAfter booking online for a family birthday, I received the auto response as usual, but nowhere said the restaurant was closed. It wasn't until I called to confirm the booking, I got this important information. Thank you for coming to La Porchetta.
We booked on recommendation. I wish we hadn't. A simple request for a garden salad instead of the high fat salads on the menu. I just wanted some simple salad items available for pizza (Baby Spinat, Capsicum, mushroom, tomatoes... and red onion) to accompany my gnocchi. The waitress said it couldn't be done. I asked them to talk to the chef to check how all restaurants like to submit all requests as long as the items are available on the menu. After testing with the cook it was still a no. Not returned to take the rest of the order. So the employees had to wait another 30 minutes via Ro-Finish with our order. Husband asked the Saltimbocca and I ordered the Gnocchi Gamberoni. While waiting for our meal, I went to Woolworths and bought a garden salad to enjoy my meal. Hubby enjoyed the meal, but wondered why they had left the Prosciutto until we realized that they had brought him the Scallopini al funghi. When we paid our meals we told them about the mix, but the waitress refused to accept her mistake. The Gamberoni sauce was not authentic Italian, but simply tasted like a tomato sauce. Said the staff on several occasions, the service was terrible and our rating was not a good one. They didn't care. We would assume that they have come to this and do not want customers to come back.
I've read a few reviews before I come and got a little nervous!! No need, although both food and service were excellent!! The online booking system has not secured our reservation, which was not a great start and the meals (precise meals) were not...cheap. However, the quality of both food and service were excellent and I recommend this as a dining option.
Apparently a popular place as it was busy at an average week night, but I found my experience a bit average. I asked for a certain dish to be made with an oil-based sauce for my pasta, which is a very traditional way to make the dish I wanted. It was 't busy at all in this phase, but the teenage waitress who felt uncomfortable about the forwarding of my request came back with the surprising answer of No, as it had 's aroma of My Italian father in the law that made it so for generations and in a restaurant complained. I've only chosen something else that was satisfactorily and reasonably flavored. Meal was ok, the employees try really hard and are mostly young. I'm going back.
This was the most disappointing dining experience in Wagga. The staff was unfriendly and when my partner found a bug in his food, they were incredibly rude about it. Their language was unacceptable and unprofessional. The food itself was not even good quality, making the whole drama they caused even more frustrating.
