CC Bar and Grill - Wagga Wagga

After reading about the origins of their steaks on the club's website, we decided to try it for dinner last night. My wife tried the lamb cutlets, which she found good but not outstanding. I ordered the Black Angus aged Scotch Fillet steak cooked medium-rare. When the steak arrived, it was not the usual thickness of a scotch fillet, more closely resembling a rump steak with a thick and thin end. As a result, the steak was well-done at the thin end, closer to medium-rare at the thicker end, and medium to medium-well in the middle. The flavor of the meat was also disappointing. Now onto the vegetables. To put it kindly, they were very poor. The mashed potatoes were bland, but the biggest issue was the barely cooked and watery cauliflower. The small amount of peas and a slice of carrot were tasteless. Chef, please do not serve this to your customers when it is clearly not up to par. I cannot recommend this place.

We found the dinner at this restaurant to be quite a good deal. The surf and turf Schnitzel was delicious, with excellent mashed potatoes but slightly watery vegetables. The salad, however, was much better. The lamb cutlets were tasty, served with a flavorful gravy hinting of rosemary. They paired perfectly with the mashed potatoes. Overall, a delicious meal.

I discovered this restaurant while staying at the Quest Hotel located just behind it. We stayed for several nights and found the restaurant to be so nice that we decided to dine there each evening. The staff was very friendly, the drink selection was good, and there was plenty of food options on the menu. Definitely worth a visit.

I helped finish organising the final few details for a function at the commercial club. Such a pleasure to work with a thoroughly professional staff . Shell was great with the overall booking, organisation and details. She advised Shaun of my allergies. Shaun then phoned...me and calmly and pleasantly organised a delicious menu for me, which definitely matched the high quality of the food served to everyone else at the function. Angus managed the details of service calmly and easily. Such a pleasure to deal with a thorough and professional staff. Many thanks!

Nothing to complain about, you order your food and it’s brought to your table when it’s ready. Good choice of dishes, cooked well and lovely staff. Busy place, but nothing’s too much trouble, thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would definitely go back again.
