Poppa Rollo's Pizza - Waco

The gluten-free crust and the charcoal-flower crust are the only two vegan options available, along with vegan cheese and vegetables. Normally, my partner isn't a fan of gluten-free crusts or most vegan cheeses, but he was pleasantly surprised and managed to finish all of his medium-sized pizzas! Does anyone know what type of vegan cheese they use? It's processed. I used to visit this place regularly, and after coming back, both my partner and I ended up eating half of our pizzas and packed the rest to take home. However, I was really disappointed to find cooked meat on my partner's pizza. I understand there can be a risk of cross-contamination, but when a customer clearly requests vegan and asks for no meat, it would be great if that could be respected. Oh, and I should mention that they use Daiya cheese.

You have to call ahead to order the vegan cheese, but the takeout process was easy! Parking can be a bit limited.

No one stacks toppings on their crust quite like Poppa Rollo's. I adored it during my time at Baylor in the '80s and have been bragging about it to my wife for the past nine years. So, on our way home to Houston, we decided to stop by Poppa Rollo's on Valley Mills Drive. It’s still the best pizza around—nothing here in Houston even comes close. The Valley Mills location is my favorite. It’s a fun spot for the whole family, with hidden doorways to other rooms, classic movies playing in the main area, and a separate game room for entertainment. If you’re passing through Waco, you absolutely have to eat at Poppa Rollo's. You can’t beat the pizza, the flavor, or the value!

This is the best little pizza place in Central Texas! It was a favorite of mine while I was studying at Baylor and TSTC (formerly TSTI), and it still holds that special place in my heart. Now, whenever I pass through the area, it’s a great stop whether I’m heading south or north on I-35. It’s one of the few places that offers a whole wheat crust pizza, standing out in a sea of pan, chewy, thin crust options that fast food places keep trying to reinvent.

I can't thank you all enough for offering dairy-free and gluten-free pizza! I have food allergies and haven't had pizza in years, so I completely forgot what it tastes like. Right now, I'm enjoying the Italian sausage and Canadian bacon with pineapple! I can't get enough of it! Thank you so much!!
