Luby's - Waco

The baked chicken was delicious and juicy not dry... Spinach... had a while to wait, so it can't be cold as others... Please, please... please, go on to this kind of restaurants and not fast foods... you will not be disappointed. Would be there every day when I lived in bell. Much fancier than I work in Austin.

I would like to thank you so much for the wonderful Christmas dinner that my children and I received for free. Not only was it a blessing, but we really needed a Christmas dinner at the time with Covid-19 and Pneumonia I didn't know what I wanted to do for Christmas, but we were blessed with a dinner, thank ALL so much for the blessing and thank you for having the certificates LV ISD for us to get the dinner. I hope and pray that this will continue to help families.

Great food and staff very friendly, highly recommended

I've been tempting myself since I was a little kid In San Antonio and I love every visit. Few things have changed and I have probably eaten 100 plus peaches of fried fish over my life from here. Very friendly staff and the food is always hot and ready to go. It is a great weekend place to eat for us for lunch. I'm getting tempted forever The prices are a little steep for cafeteria style food, but I would like to come here and I would recommend it.

Decided to stop in today for a quick lunch. Hubby got a regular plate with chicken dressing two sides a roll. His chicken dressing was just room temperature and the broccoli was cold. I had the Luann plate with 1/2 baked fish. The fish wasn't very crispy and we came in around 12:20p, so it wasn't like we came in after the lunch hour. I was served one small scoop of green beans, whereas my side of beets onion salad was a good, generous amount. One of the line servers, Tiffany, deserves a pat on the back for her cheerful attitude and helpfulness. Our table attendant, Mason, was friendly and came by a couple of times to check up on us. I think it was one of the managers who walked around the dining room offering complimentary cornbread to customers. That was very nice! UPDATE: Stopped by a couple of days ago and had a much better experience, so I bumped up my rating by a star. Just asked and found out one of the sides on my Luann plate could be a salad. And not a dinky salad on one of their side veggie dishes I mean a bigger bowl filled with all the salad toppings I wanted! I sat down and went straight for the salad until it was gone. Then, I started on the green beans and meatloaf. The beans had plenty of bacon bits. The meatloaf had a bit more filling than I prefer, so the salsa and pico de gallo had excellent heat and added so much to the flavor of the meatloaf. The jalapeno cornbread was a little too sweet for me, but everything else made up for it. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. He brought requested items promptly and always had a smile on his face.
