My coworkers and I dine here once a week. I love the staff they are super friendly and nice and always serve tasty food. Until today. I typically stick with tacos al carbon, or taco salad with steak al carbon. Today I used the drive thru and phoned in my order. Mistake. It was gross. The steak was tiny pieces, way smaller than what is served while dining inside. The majority of the small pieces of steak were fat/gristle. I picked out as much as a I could and attempted to eat what was left. Major disappointment. Not sure I'll even want to go back for a dine in visit. Last week they were a 5 for me, today not at all, $16 later.

Please, Please do not order to go here. They just give you what they want, instead of what you order. I called in a lunch order for a #15, which is 2 cheese enchiladas, 1 taco and rice and beans. I told the lady that I wanted beef enchiladas and she said that would be extra. I said fine. The meal was 7.99 with cheese. We order out from work for Mexican food at least once a week and we always get chips and salsa with our order. There was no chips and salsa and when I ask about that the man at the register was just rude. He said NO,NO. Fine. I took the order back to my office and opened it and there was no beef, just cheese enchiladas. I called back up there and ask to speak to the manager, who said that the cook forgot the beef because he was new and that the server told the guy not to charge extra. Apparently it wasn't necessary to ask me if I wanted it that way. The manager insisted that I wasn't charged for the meet but it was 12.68 for the 7.99 meal and a tea. The manager was totally unconcerned that they did not provide what I ordered and just kept practically yelling that they did not charge me for meat because they knew it was not on there. KNOW THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE, NOT. Never again.

Terrible service! Horrible food! I ordered some chilaquiles and the eggs were so old or so fried that you couldn't even cut them with your teeth, I asked them to be changed because I asked for them medium-dry, they changed them but they brought me the same thing, I returned them again and the cook came to my table to tell me what I want because he doesn't understand, to which I replied, I only want medium-term fried eggs and not refried foods that cannot be cut. Total I told them not to worry about the eggs that was fine, when you pay automatically they add a 19% tip! Which is why it's illegal!!!!! But it will be reported to the city and the corresponding department

Not sure why other reviewers have given such poor ratings here. Today was my third time and it is now my favorite traditional Mexican food in Waco. Food is always hot, fresh and delicious. The chips and salsa are fantastic. The Poblano Chicken is amazing. Go for breakfast, their breakfast burritos are awesome (and way more than I could eat on my own)! Have not had a bad meal yet. Service has always been fast and friendly for me. If I had to take off points for anything, it would be the atmosphere (bright fluorescent lights in drop ceiling, torn vinyl chairs, hand-written notices of extra charge for all to-go plates/cups tacked to walls with push pins). I 'll still give it 5-stars because the food outshines and the previous 1-Star reviews aren 't in line with my experiences here.

Don't stop !! We ordered 2 huevos rancheros my wife asked for her sauce on the side so they decided to itemize And charge double , on top of that we only received two flower tortilla for both of us and has I think waitress aware we were missing two more tortilla When she came to the table tomorrow I clarified it two tortillas come with the meal she replied yes . Also asked for chips and salsa which Usually free with your meal. The owner was not present I often eat here Maybe that's the reason they decided to have an attitude and charges double.
