Izartza - Vitoria-Gasteiz

Good raciones and pintxos in this restaurant. They even have sweet pintxos! The only bad point is the timetable, sometimes I have found it weirldy closed. Anyway if you find it open, pay a visit to it!

In an old town square with outdoor as well as indoor seating this bar had wonderful tapas , tasty and very well presented and the service was very friendly .. a great spot for a drink or lunchtime snack

The restaurant has a nice appearance and ambient, but I didn't have a very good experience there. My tempura tapa came with deep-fried tomato (just imagine what that tastes like), and when I spoke with the waiter about it the chef came out to defend the dish. I believe that they should have asked to replace it or give me another tapa, but they were instead quite rude about it. Later, when I went to pay, the waiter didn't say anything to me. I can't support service like this, considering it is not a place to go to get cheap eats. El restaurante tiene un ambiente y decoraciones muy agradables, pero no tuve una experiencia muy buena allí. Mi tapa de tempura vino con tomate (imagínate como sabe esto), y cuando fui a hablar con el camarero, la cocinera salió también para defender el plato. Yo creo que deberían haber pedido si quería una tapa nueva, o cambiarla, pero no lo hicieron. Después, cuando fui a pagar, el camarero no me dijo nada, ni gracias. No puedo apoyar servicio así, tomando en cuenta que no es un sitio muy barato.

We went here in the afternoon for a bottle of wine. The service was so good that we decided to go back the same night. The tapas menu was all in spanish and as we speak limited spanish the waitor was kind enough to translate it to english for us. We ordered a few dishes at first, and then one by one. Service and food was very good. Limited seating inside.

Estamos de visita por Vitoria y hemos acabado cenando en el restaurante Izartza en la plaza de España o plaza nueva, sin duda un lugar realmente recomendable para cenar o comer, la calidad de sus pinchos es directamente proporcional a la calidad del trato y la amabilidad de su dueño, nos ha tratado como reyes y encima la comida estaba exquisita, recomiendo pedir el tataki de atún con salsa de soja, espectacular, lo dicho, no dejéis de pasaros para probar los pintxos y las tapas...
