Sober - Visby

Without a booking we were welcomed, and the food was presented excellently and full of taste and quality. The wines on the glass, beer and after dinner drinks are wide without being too long. The service was attentive with nothing too much trouble without being intrusive. The background music pleasantly and interesting on the right level to not hinder the conversation. A great place for excellent food and atmosphere.

Donner Brasserie is a super nice restaurant in the center of Visby. I was here in Almedalen (political week) and all the restaurants were full. But the waiter managed to give us a table for six. I had the cod that was amazing. Probably the best cod I've ever had. Fresh, high quality fish with seasonal ingredients. The sauce was also wonderful. We ordered a bottle of white wine that really went well with the food.

We shared a platter with beef, pork belly and langoustine. The beef was really good with a beer sauce. The langoustine was good but very small. The pork belly was alright, but not my favorite. For desert I had baked chocolate with ice cream, which was delicious! We had some drinks that was very good, and they recommended a wine with the food that was very good and not so expensive! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The outside area was nice, and the inside area is also nice but a bit dark. Would definitely come back!
