Young Veterans Brewery Company

The atmosphere is perfect for invoking fond memories of my service to this country. The sign at the bar, “Hurry up and wait here,” was hilariously familiar. The artwork is also fantastic, poking fun at many aspects of military life. This place is a MUST-VISIT for everyone, especially fellow military members! I also want to mention the young lady at the counter—she was incredibly helpful and had a wonderful personality. Although I didn’t catch her name, I think a military service dress name tag would suit her perfectly! One suggestion I have is for them to team up with a veteran-owned food truck or trailer to park out front and offer food that complements the flavors of their beers. They also have merchandise, cans, and growlers available for sale.

This small local brewery pays tribute to veterans and offers a unique selection of bold and adventurous beers. The space is reasonably sized, but the bar area is quite limited. During my visit, the regulars occupied the entire bar, so my companions and I ended up sitting on a couch away from the crowd. They also have a beer club that isn’t currently accepting new members, and it seemed like most of the patrons were part of it. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but I probably won’t return.

This is an excellent spot with fantastic beer. As a business owned by a veteran, YVBC has consistently collaborated with military organizations to show their support. In fact, they even created a special beer for Navy Chiefs and host an annual party just for them. It’s a wonderful place that everyone should check out when in Virginia Beach.

The beer was outstanding, and the server was both polite and well-informed. It was clear that everyone who came through the door was treated like a friend, showcasing their dedication to building a wonderful community centered around enjoying craft beer. They are also dog-friendly! Although we live a couple of thousand miles away and won't be able to visit often, we will definitely stop by whenever we're back in the area.

I really enjoyed this brewery! The beers had creative names and fascinating labels. My husband liked many of them, and I highly recommend checking this place out!
