Pulcinella Italian - Virginia Beach

Unfortunately, Pulcinella will be closing its doors for the final time on May 8th, 2022. The restaurant has been a special place for the Corsale family and has served many loyal customers throughout the years. Despite the closure, the Corsale family expresses their gratitude to their customers for their support and loyalty. They will miss serving their famous dishes and interacting with their customers. While this may be the end of an era, the Corsale family encourages customers to visit the restaurant during its final week and stay connected for future opportunities. Thank you, Pulcinella, for the memories and delicious meals.

My husband called the restaurant to inquire about takeout orders, but the woman abruptly hung up on him. Before ending the call, she mentioned that they were not taking orders at the moment, yelled something, and slammed the phone down. I have visited this restaurant with my niece and her friend in the past, and while the food was average, we decided to give them another opportunity. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.

I typically don't write negative reviews, but this experience was so terrible that I had to. If I could give negative 5 stars, I would. The food at this restaurant was absolutely awful. The meat lasagna we ordered had no meat, ricotta, or mozzarella cheese. It was bland and barely warm. The salad I ordered was also a disappointment - just spinach leaves, a few croutons, and a poorly cooked hard-boiled egg. As someone who grew up in an Italian family in New York, I know authentic Italian food, and this was nowhere close to it. Save your money and go somewhere else because this place is not worth it.

Excellent pizza and real Italian food. The amaretto cake is so good that it 's almost sinful... And the Cannoli: a superb Italian experience...

Authentic Italian cuisine. No fine dining but excellent food. Just one issue identified. They don't have Limoncello or Grappa for a digestive but at least espresso corretto with Sambucca.
