Otani Steak Seafood - Virginia Beach

I took my boyfriend out for his 31st birthday, and it was my first time at the restaurant. Overall, it was a great experience, and he really enjoyed the food!

The food was delicious! However, the service was extremely disappointing. To be fair, it was New Year's Eve, but the restaurant should have been better prepared with adequate staff. We had a reservation for a party of 12, but we didn't get seated until 8:45 PM, and our meal didn't arrive until 9:30 PM. Luckily, our group was moved to a better location, but by then we were quite hungry. Thankfully the food tasted great!

The server was friendly and courteous, while the grillmaster provided great entertainment.

We have a big party reservation for 10 for 7:00. the restaurant was incredibly understated. there was a line out of the door when we checked for our reservation, the host said that it would be about 10 minutes ready for our table. no problem. we waited in the bar area where the service did not exist in the round. after approx. 30 minutes we have been inquired about the status of our table and were told again 10 minutes. around 7:45 o'clock we discussed the reservation with a manager and said we had at least 45 minutes waiting for our table. we decided to visit another restaurant, which was regrettable, because hibachi was the request of our special guest.

A very good dining experience. A little noisy. Great chef and service.
