Old Beach Tavern - Virginia Beach

Breaked in for brunch and it was delicious. We got the veggie omelet, chicken and waffles and pancakes and everything surpassed our expectations. And the service was great! Our server was super friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back!

New cook and new owner really change this place better! I have the Streak bites (which were not like the sauce with which it was paired with too much horseradish for me, but the Streak was cooked as I asked and tasteful. The crab dive was amazing! (You have to try! Definitely will go back to try some of their daily specialties! The bartender was really sweet and made me a delicious mocktail **** mary. 10/10 recommend

My family and I have been satisfied customers in Old Beach Tavern for several years. Recently, we considered an age group for my father in Old Beach Tavern, and the experience could not have been excellent anymore! The owner Zach Davis has provided an excellent service throughout the entire process – from our first meeting to catering, prices and smaller details until the end of our event. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very easy to work. Alonzo, the chef, created a fantastic spread that was adapted to what we wanted. The amount of food was perfect for our party size, and the quality was just top-notch. Both of these gentlemen should be highly praised for their professionalism and great attitudes during the planning phases of our boarding party. At the night of the party, the staff bent backwards to ensure that everything went down perfectly. From bartender to help in the kitchen I can't say enough great things about everyone in Old Beach Tavern. The food is fantastic, inexpensive and very full. The venue itself is perfect for the event – it is spacious and very well designed with an elevated stage for presentation, live music or lots of activities. If you are looking for a venue to host an event or simply a casual restaurant/bar to take a bite, Old Beach Tavern is second-to-no in all aspects. They are the absolute best on the beach and made the age group of my father everything we hoped it would be and more!

Our waitress was fabulous . And I can 't lie and say the onion rings weren 't pretty good. It 's when you order beef tacos and you can clearly tell that the beef had absolutely zero seasoning, it just makes you wonder who back there is in charge of cooking that. The beef has to be seasoned . I 'm not being petty I 'm just being honest

Average food, high prices. We went for lunch on a Saturday, and it was close to empty. The server was great, and very attentive, but the prices were too high for average food. We got the crab dip appetizer and that was very tasty. I got the “Mother-clucker” chicken sandwich and it was big, but tasted too generic. Too fried almost. The description made it sound better. We also got the Steak tacos and the fish and chips. Steak tacos were average and nothing was special about them, disappointing. The Fish and Chips were good. 3 stars just because of the high pricing and average food. Atmosphere was great!
